Cobbled together with loose change by George A. Romero’s friends in Pittsburgh, EFFECTS is a mesmerizing low-budget horror movie about the making of a movie. Working with the original score by star John Harrison, who also composed the music for Romero and Stephen King’s classic CREEPSHOW, I cut a theatrical trailer that suggested more than it showed — just like the film itself. I worked closely with filmmakers Dusty Nelson and John Harrison to ensure that we captured their original intent, as a trailer wasn’t created at the time of the movie’s release.
