THE MCPHERSON TAPE was the first horror movie to utilize the “point-of-view” found footage format that would later be popularized by THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. I wanted the artwork  to retain that sense of mystery. Since the movie centers around a UFO invasion, I looked to vintage paranormal paperbacks for inspiration — as well as early Atari advertisements — and captured the appropriate sci-fi feel.
