Poster: FRIDAY THE 13TH

Company: The New York Times

Role: Designer

After the release of our book BLEEDING SKULL! A 1980s TRASH-HORROR ODYSSEY, I designed this poster for The New York Times. The Times was running an article about how classic American horror movies were promoted overseas. They asked a group of designers to create fictional movie posters to accompany the piece. I was assigned FRIDAY THE 13TH. I reimagined the seminal slasher as a movie by Luc Moullet, who wrote and directed BRIGITTE ET BRIGITTE — one of the weirdest films of the French New Wave.
